Sunshine, not snow this week! We are here at Training Magazine’s 2011 Training Conference and Expo at the San Diego Convention Center – having great conversations. It is our first time at this conference, and we are thrilled to be here.
One of the questions posed inside and outside of the sessions this year is how do we learn? And further, how do we encourage creativity in learning and leadership development that, ultimately, improves organizational performance?
Not petite questions.
Yesterday, Keynoter Charles Leadbeater, author of We Think: Mass Innovation, Not Mass Production, touched on the notion of how learning needs to be engaging, personal, and collaborative for it to have impact. In his book, Leadbeater references that new ideas usually come through conversation, through the sharing of ideas. This sharing occurs in public spaces, in hallways, in boardrooms, and more predominantly every day, on the web.
We love that this exchange and learning is occurring on the Expo floor and through Twitter and Facebook at this event. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by, tweeted, and engaged in thought-provoking conversations!
If you are here at the conference or in the San Diego area, stop by and see us today at Booth #501 from 12 – 5 PM.
Congratulations to the 2010 Top 125 Organizations That Excel at Employee Development! Extra kudos to General Mills and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for being inducted into the Top 10 Hall of Fame.
